Today I found the jar of sorrel in my pantry, and couldn't resist to make "Green Borscht" with chicken. Basically, it's chicken broth with some meat, potato, carrot, celery and onions, and tons of fresh sorrel. Or just one jar of the preserved one. It's served with a hard boiled egg, a dollop of sour cream and chopped greens. While eating it, I though that tomorrow, after it spends the night in the fridge, I will chop some radish, and cucumber, and more parsley and scallions, and I will have the super cool "Okroshka" soup. Which is perfect for 100F weather!
