About the Chef
Hi! I am a Personal Chef Galina Campbell (Bosyanova), born in Ukraine, grew in Siberian part of Russia and now living and working in beautiful Las Vegas. My passion is food and everything about it – how it grows, how it can be cooked and presented, what are good and bad qualities it possesses, how it can be used otherwise than for eating.
My journey started many years ago when while living in the Soviet Union I learned couple of hundred different dishes from potato, cabbage and onion. And they were delicious! I still cook some of them but add the abundance of fresh produce around the year. I had a successful career in a corporate world, but then I realized that it’s not what made me happy. So I quit, enrolled in a culinary institute and never looked back.
My cooking style is Californian cuisine with some Mediterranean and Eastern European influences. I like eclectic and fresh food, spice and variety, and always appreciate the chance to try something new.
I like the idea of living and cooking responsibly and sustainably, so when possible I select organic or free-range poultry along with natural or grass-fed beef (there’s no compromise on eggs, though – they must be free-range from the farms I trust). Seafood prevails in my personal diet and I really care where it comes from, so I follow the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch list. I love local farmer markets – they give the inspiration to cook in season.
